This is the Y-axis assembly. It is exploded to see all the parts. At the top of the picture you can see the ball nut. On the left is the ball nut and mounting block for the Y-axis. On the right is an extra nut.

Below the ball nuts is the bearing plate with the ball screw inside. Next you can see the two angular contact bearings. The washer and nut are below that. Next is the bearing retainer flange.

This picture shows the Y-axis installed and the X-axis ball nut and screw assembly in place. I just need to slide the X table on from the left side of the mill.
This picture shows the Z-axis assembly installed up inside the head casting. This worked very nicely.

The completed CNC mill with all three servo motors installed. You can see the servo controller box to the right of the head on the shelf. I separated the power wires from the encoder wires because I read on the CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO site that they can cause problems if you have the two types of wires close to each other. I need to add the home and limit switches to all three axis and add covers for the motors and pulleys to protect them and myself.

I can't wait to try out some G-code on this baby!! More to come.
