There have been many requests for my design, so I have decided to put together a set of plans of my CNC drill-mill design. What this will include is 1) Complete set of printed plans (detail drawings, assembly drawings, section views, exploded views.) 2) Complete bill of materials (quantity, part numbers, suppliers, etc.) 3) Assembly and building instructions. 4) Complete e-mail support.

My design was completely done using a 3D solid modeling CAD system called SolidWorks. Make sure you check out the movie of my CNC drill-mill operating, in the area called "My first CNC parts."

Note: These plans only cover the mechanical aspects of building this CNC mill.

I now have plans for building the servo controller box. They are free when you order my full set of plans below.

I accept credit cards via PayPal on all items. Just use my email Admin at homecnc dot info as the recipient. Send me an E-mail first for availability.

Here is my X,Y-axis plan set. This set has everything you need to convert only the X-axis and Y-axis of your Drill-Mill to servo-powered CNC. Below is what you get.....

  • Two very large assembly prints with section and exploded views.
  • Complete set of detail drawings.
  • Bill of materials with quantity, part numbers and suppliers of purchased parts.
  • Assembly instructions with detail pictures and tools needed to build the project.
  • Color CAD print of assembly with transparent colors to see inside the design
  • Full e-mail support.
X-Y Axis Assembly

All parts are easily built using a small lathe and the Drill-Mill that you plan to convert. (A boring head will be needed for making the bearing holes).

The PDF version would be $25.00 USD with no shipping costs. Plans will be emailed to you. See below.

Z Axis Assembly

And this is my Z-axis design plan set. This set has everything you need to convert only the Z axis of your Drill-Mill to servo-powered CNC. This design will fit neatly up inside the drill-mill head casting.

  • Two full-size assembly drawings with section and exploded views.
  • Complete set of detail drawings.
  • Bill of materials with quantity, part numbers and suppliers of purchased parts.
  • Assembly instruction with detail pictures and tools needed to build the project.
  • Color CAD print of assembly inside the head casting.
  • Full e-mail support.

The PDF version would be $40.00 USD with no shipping costs. Plans will be emailed to you. See below.

Servo motor news.... Due to other projects at home I am NOT going to be stocking the 430 oz/in servo motors for an undetermined amount of time.

I do have quite a few of the 360 oz/in servo motors with 250 CPR encoders. They work with my plans as well but will not have the extra strength that the 430 size motors have. There are customers of mine using the 360 oz/in motors in a drill/mill with my plans just fine. They sell for $150.00 each plus $10.00 each shipping to the USA.

All currency must be in US Dollars. I accept money orders or bank drafts. I also have a PayPal account. Use my e-mail admin@homecnc.info to send payment using PayPal.
