CNC Parts

December 20, 2001 It's been a long process to build the parts I need to convert the Enco Drill/Mill to CNC. Below are some of the parts I have created. I still have a long way to go.

	Here I have the bearing plates for the X and Y-axis directions. The Y-axis plate has the ball screw and pulley on it. You can see the bearings in the X-axis plate and the bearing clamp plate attached as well.


Here is the completed Z-axis assembly. This assembly has two bearings in it. If you look very close you can see the pulley system and the small toothed belt inside. Installing the ball nut on the ball screw was a fun experience. I added tape to the end of the ball screw, I don't want that screw coming out of the nut while I play with it.
